Paraffin del Mundo

For years, Leonela Suarez (a member of the Surgün Photo Club) has been collecting postcards. For her, these photographs, which were in circulation, on planes and trains, were messengers whose signs had to be decoded. So she covered them with paraffin and then dug a hole to bring out a detail. She claimed that the change in state of the paraffin (from liquid to solid) freed the spirit of the image and that the fragment uncovered would deliver its message.
